Chris began his career with Barlows
of Sheffield, a leading UK shopfitter. He then gained
experience in architectural design, specialising in
pubs, leisure property and housing. He has considerable
experience in retail estate management, at one stage
controlling over 150 UK electrical retail stores.
In the role of store development manager, he rolled
out 120 pharmacy stores in 18 months for a pharmacy chain, subsequently
acquired by Superdrug plc.
Our two contracts managers are Dave Weaver and
Mike Stopforth. Mike deals with on site construction, team co-ordination
and client liaison. Mike manages all materials requirements, logistics
and sub-contract arrangements.
Chris has developed the Turn Key
shopfitting business in line with a specific business
development strategy.
We specialise in working with several
kinds of end client:-
Entrepreneurs
Such clients are focussed on the roll out their product
range in the market place. Their priority is on expanding
sales volumes and they view store development primarily
as a logistics issue. They use our wrap around service
to take care of all their store development requirements.
Retail
specialists
Rather than employ an estates management department
within the organisation, some retailers prefer to
partner with fit out consultants such as ourselves.
We provide the vital expertise required to manage
and develop the stores, without the overhead cost,
which can be substantial.
We have developed a team with a
range of specialist skills to enable us to meet these
demands.
Our pre-contract team is managed
by Dave Thorpe, who has thirty five years experience
in architectural design and project management for
operations such as Asda and Morrisons. Post contract,
we have two contracts managers; Dave Weaver deals
with on site construction, team co-ordination and
client liaison. Mike Stopforth manages all materials
requirements, logistics and sub-contract arrangements.
Our fit out teams have a wide range
of experience and are often complimented for the standard
of their work and their organisation, especially in
relation to co-operation with other trades. We normally
have twelve teams of four, conducting fit out contracts
right across the UK.
Health
& Safety
Health and safety is at the core of our shop fitting
operations, in every respect. Health and safety considerations
are built into all of our designs. It is also integral
to the way that we work. All of our site staff carry
the CSCS skills card and are particularly well briefed
with regard to compliance with and support of clients
own health & safety arrangements.
